Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, such as payroll, PTO, accounts payable and receivable, and bank statement reconciliation
  • Coach/mentor accounting clerks
  • Summarize current financial status by preparing and presenting information for balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports (Daily Cash Report, etc.)
  • Create and maintain the budget
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Create plans of action for improved financial well-being, which lead to cost reduction, enhanced revenue and improved profits
  • Research, interpret and apply up-to-date accounting methods, policy and regulations
  • Maintain company data and procedural confidentiality
  • Work closely with a CPA firm to ensure federal, state and local financial legal compliance
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents and filing backup
  • Work with other departments to create procedures and workflows that promote efficiency and productivity
